Making A Difference One Fish AT A Time

How it all began and how I got here today

I’ll never forget the New Year’s night when my dad (who might not have been at his best, stumbling and slurring his words a little) had overbought pizza from dominos. we had extra left over (had to be more than a whole pizza) which we realized after the fireworks show. My dad was set on giving it to the homeless, so that is what we did. We drove around until we saw a fire in the distance, and I’ll be damned if we didn’t walk that pizza down to them just like they were a part of the family. We winded up sitting right there with them chit chatting, laughing and giggling. They even had offered to share the only meal they had which was not much. It wasn’t about the food; it was about the connection.

Being a supervisor at a 7am to 5pm just did not seem like the life for me. I had always dreamed of being a social media influencer, and TikTok made that dream a reality. When they launched TikTok shop, I became an affiliate and found success. At some point I felt comfortable stepping away from my job, but with the talk of a TikTok ban, I started worrying about my future, so I looked into other ways of making income. That led me to The Roadmap course, which gave me the knowledge I needed for digital marketing and other income streams. It helped me understand how to expand beyond just affiliate marketing, without relying on one single source. It also gave me the mindset and courage to take the next steps, and with all that knowledge, I was able to truly dedicate myself to becoming the creator I am today. Now, I’m focused on using my platform to make a real difference, one fish at a time, I am excited to see where this journey will take me.
